We both owe ERB a bundle, pal. He helped me through some rough times, too. You've certainly done him proud...I hope someday I might find a way to repay him, too.
ReplyDeleteI hate to admit that I never read an ERB novel, just seen the movies based on them. I grew up with Robert E. Howard.
ReplyDeleteTom, it is so cool to see you with your award.
Martin, you do give back to him even more than I do....you are a writer with the spark of his imagination. I would love to read a Tarzan story written by you....oh wait that is our KiGor. So see you are.
ReplyDeleteLloyd, well I am a HUGE Howard fan also. I find Howards words to flow so well. While Burroughs imagination is his tent pole. Almuric is Howards answer to John Carter of Mars. The words of Howard beats drums in my soul, the imagination of Burroughs sparks my mind. I used to try to write sentences like Burroughs in high school and was always told I had too many 'run on' sentences. ha.
Eloquently said, Tom.
